Timeless, masterful, and simply elegant, Chambly's Silver Seville flatware will grace any table, from the simplest to the most impressive. Chambly Silver is meticulously crafted from the best nickel silver base available, then silvered to the highest French standard, certified by the square hallmark on each piece. This stamp guarantees all pieces have 42 microns of pure silver, equating to 100 grams per set.
Chambly Silver is unique with its large European design, the harmony of its lines and a well-balanced yet heavy feeling in your hand. While inexpensive mass produced flatware uses the same thin sheet of metal through and through, Chambly handcrafted quality harmoniously and subtly varies the curves and thickness of metal throughout, a visible proof of a truly superior silversmith. Here, in the Seville dessert fork. Made in France.
Since 1894 Chambly French silversmiths have been applying century-old savoir faire and a relentless pursuit of perfection to the handcrafting of flatware, sterling silver, nickel silverplate, and now 18/10 chrome stainless. Look for the square stamp "Chambly France" affixed to each piece.
Chambly silver should be used daily to minimuze tarnish and keep your silver looking its best. It will keep at its best for years to come if you wash silver promptly after use to avoid staining and possible pitting. Wash in warm, sudsy water. Rinse and dry immediately. It may be safely washed in the dishwasher. Rinse away food that contains sulfides (eggs, ketchup, salty foods, dressings) that may cause tarnianshing and pitting. Avoid lemon scented detergents which contain acids thay may harm silver. Use a rinse agent and/or a water softener. Do not spill dry detergent on silver--it may cause dark spots and pitting. Hand dry silver, especially knife blades, to avoid spotting and pitting.
