Chambly Silver Perles Salad Serving Set
Perles Silver Salad Serving Set features a row of tiny silver pearls tracing the edge. In silverplate on a nickel silver body. Chambly makes quite possibly the best silverplate on the market today. The company has been handcrafting superior silverplate flatware in France since 1894. The silver content on each piece (42 microns of pure silver, equating to 100 grams of silver per set) is guaranteed by French law and evidenced by the square stamp imprinted on each piece. This contrasts with the 3-5 microns commonly found on much silverplating from elsewhere. Chambly uses high grade nickel silver--an alloy of nickel and copper--for the base of its silverplate. Sometimes called "white metal because of the 12% nickel content that makes it appear white, this metal is safe if de-plated, has an affinity for silver bonding, and has the weight, feel and consistency of real sterling. This Perles Salad Server Set consists of two pieces: a fork and a spoon, both 9.4". Made in France.
